Discovery
I don't want to grope like I did that day
It's truly turbulent when love goes a stray.
So I sailed on a ship through stormy seas
My mates betokened me the Maltese
I was one of the dragon's buccaneers.
We crossed oceans filled with her victim's tears
For many a year had I the voyage to endure
Curious how the journey lost it's allure
Me thinks that maybe my ports in view
As I near the horizon after discovering you
An eagle soaring high over a desert of sorrows
Scarcely rendering a concern to it's tomorrows
Wouldn't be as discerning as the ships bell
To the fact that it seams i was able to foretell
Those feeling of anguish you felt in the past
Our lives both appear to have been sailing at half-mast.
For if you identify the apathy encasing your heart in ice
I'll demonstrate my willingness to sacrifice
I'll show you the warmth of my love will melt the cold of your life
And dry the tears of your disbelief
You'll acquire long-lasting sanctuary from all worldly grief
I sense the fire burning deep within your eyes
An ever illuminating ember that never dies
It burned the beauty of your bounty
Into the memory of my mind
Thinking of your love has me long-winded, unclad and condigned
I'm the first mate and only time will show
'Tis your sorrow that I shall conquer and overthrow
